VAPA 2001 Scholarship Program

Vietnamese-American Professionals Alliance [VAPA], a non-profit organization committed to supporting the community and providing a social and professional network for Vietnamese-American professionals in the Silicon Valley, is actively seeking applicants for our 4^th annual scholarship awards. Through these scholarship awards, VAPA hopes to instill in our future leaders the same values of leadership, commitment, and service for which VAPA stands.

2001 VAPA scholarships will be awarded to qualifying high school juniors and graduating seniors who demonstrate a combination of exceptional leadership potential, a strong involvement in the Vietnamese-American community, high academic achievements, and an ability to overcome adversities.

Scholarship recipients will be honored at the 4^th VAPA Annual Scholarship Awards Ceremony on Sunday, June 17, 2001.

Instructions for applying for the 4^th VAPA Scholarship Awards:

1. Fill out the VAPA Scholarship application completely.

2. Attach one letter of recommendation in a sealed envelope with the author’s signature across the seal.

3. Attach a high school transcript in a sealed envelope with the registrar's signature across the seal.

4. Attach proof of test scores (PSAT, SAT, ACT, etc.).

5. Return the application with the letter of recommendation, transcript, and test scores to VAPA at the address listed above, postmarked by APRIL 28, 2001 and received by May 4, 2001. We recommend that applicants send their applications in advance of the deadline to avoid any delay in mail delivery.

6. Finalists in the selection process will be contacted for an interview.
